Rabbinical Alliance
|

How do you revive a Jewish community that was barred from religious observance for more than 70 years and forcibly educated in atheism?
In May of 1992 prominent rabbis of the former Soviet Union tackled that challenge by forming the Rabbinical Alliance.
Today, the Alliance counts 90 members in 13 countries. In addition to their broad religious functions, these rabbis partner with their respective communities to provide a wide array of educational, cultural and humanitarian services.

Sending rabbis and their families to settle and lead in challenging, farflung locations such as Siberia, Vladivostok or Uzbekistan is tribute to the dedication and idealism of Chabad-Lubavitch.
