New Club for Donetsk Jewish Community

Sunday, July 19 2009

DONETSK, Ukraine – In the east Ukrainian industrial region known as Donbass, the Jewish community of Donetsk has launched a new project that is aimed at uniting Jews from all walks of life under a common umbrella – intellectual games!

A new club has been established at the Jewish Community Center whose goal is to bring together fans of various types of intellectual and mind-developing games. The program is being led by the president of the Donetsk Intelligent Games Club, Dmitry Senatorov.

There is a whole array of games that will be accessible to members of the club, which will be useful in developing their strategic thinking skills, train them to focus their attention, as well as facilitate communication links within a team-based arrangement. The club will also allow guests to come out and try their hand at the various games, not to mention have fun and spend time with interesting people.

This club presents a unique experience for young and old alike. This is one of many programs organized by the Jewish community of Donetsk – a member of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine – for the benefit of local Jews. Especially for teenagers and youth, it is important to keep busy and have the mind engaged over the summer study break.
