The FJC considers Internet access an essential component in the development of every Jewish community. Our members use it for research, to keep in touch with their fellow communities, to research Jewish studies and to develop skills that help them become more employable.
The FJC administers a fund to establish computer centers in cities with the generous support of the Newton and Rochelle Becker Foundation of California. The Yukos Internet Education Center also funds three new computer centers each year.
We offer courses in information technology, as well as Jewish educational software to institutions and isolated communities. Each computer in our centers uses as its homepage the FJC Russian-language website, www.Jewish.ru, which provides Jewish news and thousands of pages of Jewish content in Russian.
Computer centers also operate in 40 day schools, sponsored by the Colel-Chabad organization.
